Ah le voila le bout de l ile. Il ne m a pas fallus beaucoup de temps pour y arriver. Traverser la pampa et les superbes paysages verts avec les moutons, boeuf et autre animaux fermiers.

T here is two place I should never go, told me the guy who rent me the car. One of them is the ninety Mile Beach (wich is not 90 miles long...but whatever...its a long beach.).

Taupo ou t as pas de pot ? Ben nous quant on y est passe on avait pas de pot. Malheureusement l hivers ici c un jours beau un autre pas beau. Et pas beau c du genre pluie et nuage a l horizon. Pourtant s il y avait un truc que j avais souligne dans mon guide c etait bien le saut en parachute de 12 000 pieds en tandem avec Kermit Jr. Ca veut dire 45 secondes de chutte libre et ensuite une descente en parapente avec la fantastique vue sur le Lac Taupo. Kermit Jr. et moi ben on fait une croix dessus. Tant pis on auras peut etre plus de chance sur l ile du sud.

I m driving night from Kaikoura to the Franz Josef Glacier. But on the road I decide to stop to Hamner Springs. There I enjoy the hot pools at night under the moon light.

Pancake Rocks: 03.july.2004
Good name for a rock formation like that. For taking this photo I risked my life and my equipment. The wind was blowing and the waves jumped 20 m in the sky, to finaly land on me and few tourist. Probably the most difficult environment I ever took photos.
Okay have a quick look at this rocks formed in tausend of years with as a base the different layer of sedimentation.

Arrive le 5 juillet ici a Wanaka...Il fait beau, et au bord du lac je gratte toujours les meme accords...faudrait que je trouve des partitions ! :Bref le soleil se couche...Le lendemain toute la journee il pleut. Impossible de faire quoi que se soit...j en profite alors pour updater un peu le site. Le 07.07.2004. Temps magnifique...je me leve tot pas une minute a perdre...
Wanaka Skydiving 12000 ft - 09 july 2004
I open my eyes, wash with one handmove the water drops on the window, and look outside. Beautifull morning. The mountains beginn to glow with the morning light. The sky is empty of clouds, pure, like me !?*#$*?!
I take my breakfast with my nice panorama. Suddently an ID came: Skydiving ! I go to the reception of the campground and they phone for me. Believe me or not but a half hour later I m on the Aeroport.

First thing to say is that to get there I should probably have taken a Jeep or any 4 x 4 car. But the Campervan did good job to.
I was crossing few section of water where the car could have stay for days if nobody will pass here. And believe me at this time of the year there are not so much people.
Trip from TeAnau to Kaka: 13.july.2004
There is not to much to say about this travel from Te Anau to Kaka.
TeAnau had a weather prevision that sounds so bad that I passed the Milford and doubtsounds: Rainy rainy rainy and cloudy. I so decided to just continue my trip and go back to the sea. So I did.

Back to the city, back to a bed without wheels, back to speaking with people, back to streets and cars, cinemas and bars, cafee and restaurants, shops and library. Civilisation.
