SP - Ilha Bela 24.january.2004
I just arrived in Sao Paulo, found the young hostel in a very easy way, get a sleep and go to internet. Some hours later I was kidnapped from Raquel, and the next day I could enjoy my time in Ilha Bela, a Island far away from the city...

Par ou commencer ? Where can I start?
I just arrived yesterday night in Sao Paulo, and I didn t stay one day in the young hostel, that Raquel, a very good friend of mine catch me in the city. Paulistas* (people from Sao Paulo) are very very friendly. They doesn t give you the feeling they are living in one of the biggest city in the world.

Well but that s not the story from Ilha Bela.
I could' nt imagine that I will be kidnapped from this nice family to a place I realy didn t know anything about. Its already night. We drive 3.00 hours from Sao Paulo, and a night-ferry brings the crownd of young people to the Island. 10 minutes later I was lying in a bed in a nice house on a hill.

Morning. Its about 8.30 when I wake up, I open the window and look at the place as staying. In front of me a white house surrounded by a kind of african grass wich in this humidity has no problem to grew. This house stay on a top of a hill and offer a beautifull panoramic view to the see and the surrounding mountains. Ilha Bella is a very green Island, quite and pleasant with about 400 Cachoieras (waterfalls) and beaches accessible juste by boat. The only bad thing here are the brazilian insect who loves taking care of you. There are no typical mosquitos with big legs and a big pipe to go under your skin. No no, this insect are little and compact but trust me, when they get you, you will remember a week long. And believe me they find a way to taste you ;-) So take mousquitos killers with you, a cameleon, a frog or a mousquito spray.

So when you take that little animals problem by side, you can enjoy the life here. After a breakfast, we jumped to the car.then a little boat then a big boat.
This last one took us to a "secret place" where you can just enjoy a hard day with friends (Hard days: 10 min sport and 4 hours plaisure). Actualy I didn t know so much the people there but they are so relaxed that you just can feel good. After diving a little bit, we eat some barbecue stuff, I would like to tell you what it was, but if I just say it was good that must be enought. I dond t want that you became jalous. You eat that like tapas, taking what s coming on the table a share it with everybody. It was delicious...
After we went to a little beach with an other boat, much faster. The day was ending and we came back home. The night Raphael and Renaldo played some guitar and a kind of "flute-saxo". They do well this brazilians. The hamoc made it more appreciable. Here a little bonus images of the view I had
.
I had a good times with all this guys, so thanks a lot Raquel, Renaldo, Raphael and the all the family and friends. Thank you also to all the musquitos who just show me how they loved me. I will never forget your bites.
