Most of the friend I met are living Gee Book, Mike,
Eva and Jamie. I take a little time to make my laundry.
My clothes stink after the 3 days outside, the smoke
of the campfire are impregnate in my clothes. My pants
changed from black to Uhuru-red.
What are the plans today ?
1) take a breakfast
2) finding a plane to Cairms
3) Didgeridu lesson
For the breakfast, easy....We went with Julie, Nelie
and Joseph (French guy) to a cafe on the mainstreet.
For the plane well, the Cairms fly are booked until
1 week. I m to impatient to go to South East Asia and
don t want to lose my time here. So I decided spontaneously
to join Aoife, Julie, Collin for the 3 day bus tour
to Darwin. There are 2 places left for the tour. I get
one of the place, I m lucky guy. But what about Nelie
? There are two person I will realy miss if there are
not coming. One is Gee Book a wonderfull person from
Korea, but he left this morning to Melbourne. Then Nelie.
A girl full of life and charm, with a variable IQ depending
of her behaviour (sorry for that Nelie ),
but allways smart. Well she wants to go back to Brisbane
for her study, I want her coming with us. I tried to
change her plans but, the only thing I reached was that
she will think about it.Tipical girl, think all the
time. We men act. Hoppefully the place will be free
if she decided to come .
We spend the day in town, internet and walking arround,
and eating until our Didgeridu lesson started. We came
to our free Didgeridu lesson a little bit late.
Can you ever imagine taking a piece of wood with a hole
inside, blow and get a sound that can be define as MUSIC.
Well as we entered in the shop full of Indigenous instrument
and artwork I didn t realy believe to get fast result
in the holly wood stick. The woman told us to take some
Didgeridu and play. I once tried and I was skeptical
to the fact that in one hour we could make one of this
magical music out of this piece of wood. But the teacher
was so pedagogic that we finaly get some good start
into this magical instrument. Sometime the sound is
so strange that we can t stop to laugh. And if one of
us will make a good sound, we will just be pround of
him. Collin and Stephan were realy good. My hope to
get the BRRRRRRRRRROUUUUU out of this wood didn t decline,
and finaly I get a sound. Not very long but it sounded
like didgeridu.
The next hour the teacher showed us different technic
to get different sounds. The monkey, the drrrr
the ouaf, the bzzzz bzzzz, the Name
technic.... He explained it so well that it was difficult
not getting the sound he wants we get, in theorie you
can blow any sound, any name and it would be heard.
Some are more difficult than other but still possible. One
after the other we execute the exercice and nobody ever
failed. The lesson was filled with energy and fun. It
was fantastic. I realy wanted to buy one and continue
to play but, I still have so much to learn, my japanese,
my guitar, my drawing...
